Traveling to Greece for the first time? Here are a few things to know!
Currency: Greece uses the Euro (€). Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted, but American Express is less commonly accepted. We recommend having an alternative card and some cash on hand.
Transportation: Taxis and Ubers are readily accessible in Athens and are generally quite affordable compared to New York City prices. Uber operates through licensed local taxis, making it an easy and convenient way to get around.
Travel Necessities: Don't forget your passport and a European travel adapter! Greece uses Type C and F electrical outlets. Be sure your passport is up to date and valid for at least three months after your planned departure from Europe.
We know many of you are traveling a long way to celebrate with us, and we’re so grateful you’ll be making the journey. If you have any questions as you plan your trip, please don’t hesitate to reach out - we’re happy to help. We can’t wait to be together in our favorite place!
